In a bid to address price control issues and provide relief to the populace during Ramazan, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah chaired a crucial meeting focusing on price control measures in Karachi.
During the meeting, the CM announced a substantial Rs22.5 billion Ramazan package aimed at mitigating financial burdens on the people. As part of this initiative, it was decided that 60% of Sindh's population would receive Rs5,000 in cash assistance during Ramazan, providing relief to approximately 4.5 million minimum wage families in the province.
Furthermore, the chief minister emphasized the need to crack down on hoarders and profiteers, who often exploit the heightened demand during Ramazan to inflate prices unfairly. It was declared that stringent measures would be implemented immediately to curb such practices and ensure price stability throughout the holy month.
In addition to addressing economic concerns, CM Shah issued directives to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during Sehr and Iftar. This directive aims to alleviate inconvenience for residents observing fasts during Ramazan.
The package and the crackdown on price gouging reflect the government's commitment to supporting the people of Sindh during this holy month.
As preparations for Ramazan intensify, authorities are taking proactive steps to ensure that residents can observe the holy month with peace of mind and financial stability.
