Pakistan Coast Guards have intensified operations against smuggling and drug trafficking in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies to eradicate the curse of smuggling and narcotics from the country.
During the past few days, Pakistan Coast Guards have seized millions worth of narcotics, including heroin, from various locations spanning from Gwadar district to the coastal areas.
The operations, ranging from Gwadar to Pasni, targeted the clandestine smuggling of narcotics and other contraband items through the sea route.
According to details, during checking operations, 336 kilograms of cannabis, 4912kg of betal nuts, 45,005kg of mixed gutka, 1087 cartons of cigarettes, 5000kg of cloth, and 375 cartons of bakery products were confiscated.
Furthermore, 49 dairy crates, 159 cartons, and 87 sacks of everyday use items, 131 sacks of Iranian plastic, 34 cartons of crockery, 2160 liters of cooking oil, and hundreds of tons of other items.
Also, 8 cartons of spare parts, 49 tires, 28 different types of vehicles, 60,680 tons of Iranian petrol, and 127,108 liters of Iranian diesel were also seized.
