Annual matriculation examinations have been kicked off on Friday across Punjab wherein 269,428,1 candidates are participating.
As per the Education department statistics, 1390592 girls and 1297689 boys are taking part in the matriculation exam.
4088 examination centers have been established for matriculation examination. 14 examination centers have also been set up in different jails of the province.
The 10th-grade exams are commenced with History of Pakistan paper, followed by Punjabi on March 2, English Compulsory on March 4, and Arabic on March 5.
The examination period will continue with various subjects and to be concluded on ultimately on March 18.
For 9th-grade students, the exams will begin on March 19 including English paper exam on March 20, Arabic on March 21, and Pakistan Studies on April 4.
The morning session exams are starting at 8:30am and the afternoon session at 1:30pm. On Fridays afternoon exams will commence at 2:30pm.
