Former caretaker Sarfaraz Bugti resigned from the Senate on Tuesday.
According to the details, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani had accepted Bugti’s resignation.
Moreover, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) senator Prince Ahmed had also resigned from the Senate.
Umerzai will take the oath as the elected lawmaker of the Balochistan Assembly.

The Awami National Party (ANP) had declared its backing for the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) in Balochistan, pledging support for the PPP in upcoming Senate and Presidential elections.
This decision was made public following a meeting between a delegation from the ANP and former President Asif Ali Zardari, who serves as the co-chairman of the PPP.
The ANP delegation, comprising Zamurk Khan, Senator Daud Khan, and Senator Umar Farooq, convened to discuss strategic alliances and future political collaborations. During the meeting, the ANP representatives affirmed their commitment to supporting the PPP in both Senate and presidential contests.
