Antiguan power hitter Rahkeem Cornwall, who is known for the onslaught, once again spit fire by breaking his own sixes record in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League on Sunday.
With his blazing batting against the Saint Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Rahkeem Cornwall powered the Barbados Royals to a comfortable victory. The Royals chased the mammoth equation of 221 in the 19th over with merely the loss of two wickets, and Cornwall went on to retire.
Earlier, the Patriots were brilliant with the bat, but it was the coronation of Cornwall that was too good for his team to beat the Patriots.
In his 48-ball 102, Cornwall remained unconquered and went on to smash 12 sixes and four boundaries.
He played all around the field and treated all the Patriots’ bowlers with utter contempt.
First, Cornwall smashed a 110-metre-long six, followed by 111 meters. Both of the sixes are the longest of the tournament so far.
