Apple recently revealed that the iPhone 15 series would have an improved battery cycle lifetime, in addition to enhancements and changes to battery health in iOS 17.4.
Apple initially claimed that after 500 full charge cycles, iPhone 15 could hold up to 80% of its original capacity. Following the update, it can now hold onto 80% of its initial capacity even after 1000 full charge cycles,
In order to imitate typical usage situations, Apple claims that the battery was charged and discharged 1,000 times under particular conditions.
Since the company has been updating battery parts and power management technologies on a regular basis throughout the years, the battery life has now improved.

It is prior to mention that this altered battery lifespan is applicable only limited three models like iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
By using the settings app, the users of iPhone 15 can see the number of charge cycles in their battery. But on earlier versions, this feature is not available.
