Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif held separate meetings on Tuesday with three-time former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
Sources divulged that Shehbaz called on Nawaz Sharif in Murree to discuss the matters in line with the formation of government in the centre and Punjab.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Ishaq Dar and members of the coordination committee.
The PML-N's committee had briefed the bigwigs about the talks with the PPP.
Meanwhile, Shehbaz had also held a meeting with Bhutto-Zardari on his return to Islamabad.
Both leaders had held talks over moving forward on the talks in line with the formation of a government.
According to the sources, Shehbaz and Bhutto-Zardari were of the view that both parties should have to show flexibility in terms of opinions to pave the way for reaching the final agreement.
– Two independent candidate joins PML-N –
On the other hand, two independent candidates who secured seats in the Balochistan Assembly, Wali Muhammad and Abdul Khaliq Khan, have decided to join the PML-N.
Their decision was announced during a meeting with Shehbaz Sharif.
The meeting, attended by party officials including provincial president Jafar Khan Mandukhel and party leader Jamal Shah Kakar, marked a significant moment as Wali Muhammad and Abdul Khaliq Khan pledged their allegiance to PML(N).
Shehbaz Sharif extended warm congratulations and a heartfelt welcome to the newly joined members, acknowledging their role in promoting stability within Pakistan.
He emphasised the importance of unity in addressing the nation's challenges, advocating for dialogue and cooperation as the keys to progress.
