Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday rebuked the embattled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), labelling the party as a "group of terrorists".
Addressing an event, CM Maryam said, “There is a dire need to clean the dirt from Punjab and all of Pakistan.” She recalled the events that transpired on May 9 last year, saying, "People have not shown confidence in you [PTI leadership] after the May 9 mayhem."
She continued to berate the PTI, saying, "You cannot even amass more than two dozen people for the protests despite the frequent calls for the protests."
"The fake propaganda of the deaths had been staged during the protests," she said.
"The fires directly affected the police officers. The PTI founder is responsible if anybody lost their lives," CM Maryam added.
She maintained, "The PTI founder is not managing to spend time behind bars. Now you [PTI founder] should relax in jail after ruling the country for four years."
