A spell of rain accompanied by thunder began across Usta Muhammad and its surrounding areas.
According details, the rainfall affected major towns and villages, including Aliabad, Khanpur and Gandakha. The roads turned into pools as the rainwater accumulated, and low-lying areas submerged under water.
The downpour caused severe damage to ripened rice crops due to which many farmers were distressed.
In addition, several mud houses sustained damage due to the rain.

The affected areas had witnessed complete suspension of electricity as all the power feeders tripped.
