The services of social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has now been starting to restore in Pakistan.

The service were affected since 10 pm Saturday and remained suspended throughout the period with patches of restoration.

People across the country used the platform X via VPN services and faced ample difficulties on the cellular and laptop and computer devices while opening X site.

It is pertinent to note that the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) prior to Elections 2024, assured the nation that internet services would not be suspended in the country on February 8.

In an official statement, PTA assured internet users to expect internet facilities to be available without interruption or obstacles on the day of the elections.

Contrary to assurances, the internet and cellular services were shut down on the Elections 2024.

Internet users in Pakistan faced another disruption in accessing the services of social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, adding to the ongoing challenges in online connectivity.

Despite several hours passing, the service remained unavailable, leaving users unable to access the platform from Islamabad and other parts of the country.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has not issued any official statement regarding the issue, maintaining silence amidst growing concerns over the recurring disruptions.

The incident marks yet another instance of social media platforms experiencing downtime in Pakistan, adding to the frustration of users who rely on these platforms for communication and information.
