A civil court in Islamabad on Saturday declared ex-SAPM Shahzad Akbar as the "proclaimed offender" in embezzlement case.
The charges of fraud and other offences had been filed against Akbar at the Secteriat Police Station in Islamabad.
Judge Ahmed Shahzad Gondal had declared Akbar the "proclaimed offender" for persistent non-appearance.

Following the notice, legal action concerning the seizure of the accused's property will be initiated.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had officially lodged a reference on Friday against the PTI chief in connection with a £190 million scandal.
The reference was filed by the NAB Rawalpindi circle at the accountability court in Islamabad.The PTI chief, Shahzad Akbar, Bushra Bibi, Farah Gogi and Zulfi Bukhari had been nominated as the accused.
Deputy Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi, along with investigation officer Mian Umar Nadeem, filed the reference.
The accountability court's registrar office had commenced the rigorous examination of the filed reference.
