US President Donald Trump has said the United States would provide $10 billion dollars for the reconstruction efforts in Gaza.

Trump addressed the inaugural session of the Gaza Board of Peace, thanking all participating delegates for attending the high-level meeting focused on achieving lasting peace in the region.

Speaking at the session, President Trump stated that his administration had helped stop eight conflicts, including several that were particularly complex. He credited key officials - Marco Rubio, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner - for their contributions towards efforts related to Gaza.

Trump noted that the Board of Peace includes several 'friendly nations' and described it as an important platform for promoting sustainable peace. He emphasized that all participating countries are working collectively toward restoring stability and that achieving peace will require continued and intensified efforts.

The meeting was attended by senior international representatives, including Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister and US Vice President JD Vance.

The Gaza Board of Peace session was held at the Donald Trump Institute of Peace in Washington. Delegations from Indonesia and Azerbaijan also participated, alongside representatives from other member states.

President Trump arrived at the venue earlier and greeted members of the Board, also posing for a group photograph with attendees.

The first meeting of the Gaza Board was chaired by President Trump, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also in attendance. The PM presented Pakistan’s position during the session.

Representatives from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates were also present.

Former UK prime minister Tony Blair was among the key figures attending the meeting, where discussions are expected to focus on Gaza’s reconstruction, funding mechanisms, and the possible announcement of a stabilization force.
