The Indian authorities blocked access to the social media accounts of several high-profile Pakistani athletes.
According to Indian media reports, the social media accounts of former Pakistan national cricket team captain, Babar Azam, and wicketkeeper-batter, Mohammad Rizwan, remained inaccessible to users within India, as reported by various Indian outlets.
From Mianwali, Olympic champion and national javelin thrower, Arshad Nadeem, also faced the same restriction on his digital platform. Indian media stated that the social media accounts of additional Pakistani cricket players, including all-rounder Shadab Khan, fast bowler Haris Rauf, and pacer Naseem Shah, had also been blocked in India.
From Karachi, former captain of the Pakistan national cricket team, Shahid Afridi, experienced a similar disruption on his official profile.
