The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration officials at Karachi Airport carried out a series of operations, resulting in the offloading of four passengers attempting to travel abroad with forged documents.
Among those offloaded was Atif Asif Khan, whose visa for South Africa was found to be counterfeit, according to authorities. The visa was deemed fraudulent by the immigration officials upon verification. "Atif Asif Khan’s South African visa was found to be fake," a senior FIA official stated.
Additionally, two passengers bound for Sudan, Mohammad Asif and Jameel Masih, were also offloaded after they were found to be travelling with fake documents.
Their visas, along with the Sudanese authorities' approval, were found to be suspicious, adding to the doubts surrounding their travel. "The visa approvals from Sudan were also deemed dubious," the FIA official confirmed.
Moreover, a passenger named Mayoun, who was attempting to travel with a tampered passport to Myanmar, was also offloaded by FIA officials. The passport appeared to have been altered, prompting immediate action by the immigration authorities.
All four individuals were subsequently transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi for further legal proceedings and investigation.
