Pakistani actress Saheefa Jabbar has strongly responded to the backlash she faced after revealing how her domestic worker spent a PKR 50,000 charity amount.
Saheefa initially shared that she had given her domestic worker PKR 50,000 to help with basic needs, as the worker’s home lacked a roof and leaked during rains. However, instead of addressing those necessities, the worker spent the money on clothes, a bicycle for her child, Eid shopping, and a suit for her husband.

Many social media users criticized Saheefa, stating that she had no right to police how the worker spent the money. Some argued she should have let the woman and her children enjoy their Eid without public scrutiny.
In response, Saheefa issued a strongly worded statement on Instagram, making it clear that she will not tolerate online harassment or misinterpretation of her words.
"Before criticizing me, understand this—I will not allow anyone to publicly harass me or twist my words to fit their agenda."
She highlighted that earning PKR 50,000 in a day is not easy, emphasizing the importance of financial responsibility.

"Saving money isn’t greed; it’s survival. I want my domestic worker to secure her children’s future, focus on their health and education, and protect her family."
Sahifa also pointed out social media’s double standards, questioning why people admire influencers flaunting luxury bags and vacations but get offended when she speaks about financial planning and stability.
"You celebrate influencers showing off extravagant lifestyles but attack me for talking about financial responsibility?"
She further criticized celebrities who travel first-class and stay in luxury hotels while collecting donations in the name of charity.
