The federal government has announced that Kashmir Solidarity Day will be observed as a public holiday across the country tomorrow (Wednesday).
The Cabinet Division issued an official notification confirming the nationwide holiday.
Kashmir Solidarity Day, observed annually on February 5, is marked to express Pakistan's unwavering support for the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir in their struggle for self-determination.
The day is observed with various activities, including rallies, seminars, and human chains, to highlight the plight of Kashmiris and condemn human rights violations in the region.

Public and private institutions, schools, and offices will remain closed, while special prayers and events will be organized to honour the sacrifices of Kashmiris.
Banks across Pakistan will also observe a public holiday on Wednesday. According to a notification issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), all financial institutions under its jurisdiction will remain closed on the day, as per the directive of the federal government.
