Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Bandra residence in Mumbai during the early hours of January 16, leaving fans and the film industry in shock.
The Mumbai Police apprehended a suspect 30 hours after the incident, with a video showing the accused being escorted to the Bandra police station now circulating online. Investigations into the case are ongoing, with further details awaited.
The attack, which reportedly occurred during a burglary attempt at the 'Satguru Sharan' building, was captured on CCTV. The footage showed the intruder entering the premises with a wooden stick and a Hexa blade, then fleeing via the rear gate, which was not covered by security cameras.
The suspect, dressed in a brown collared T-shirt and a red scarf, descended the staircase from the sixth floor at around 2:33am. His familiarity with the building's layout allowed him to evade most of the cameras.

The horrifying incident took place at approximately 2am when Saif allegedly heard commotion in Jeh’s room, where one of his staff members was being attacked. As Saif intervened, he engaged in a scuffle with the intruder and was stabbed six times. Both he and his staff member sustained injuries but are now recovering. Saif underwent surgery and is currently out of danger.
To track down the attacker, Mumbai Police formed 20 search teams. Alongside the suspect, two labourers working on the building's terrace are being questioned to determine whether someone with insider knowledge assisted the intruder.

Following the incident, Kareena Kapoor Khan issued a statement to address the situation, saying, "There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police is already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern. Team Kareena Kapoor Khan."
Later, Kareena shared another heartfelt message: "It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage. While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family. I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time."
Saif's sister, Soha Ali Khan, along with other family members and close friends, visited him at the hospital to show their support during this difficult time. Fans and well-wishers continue to hope for his swift recovery.
