Anwar highlighted his first ODI century and the unforgettable innings of 194 runs against India as defining moments in his career. “It’s a privilege to be inducted alongside cricketers who have made the country proud,” he remarked.
Misbah reflected on his career as both a player and captain, describing the induction as a proud moment. “It is a great honour for me to represent and then lead the Pakistan team. I feel proud to be inducted into the Hall of Fame along with cricketers who have made a name for the country,” he said.
He fondly recalled historic victories, including the 2009 T20 World Cup win, whitewashing England in 2012, and the 2013 ODI series triumph in South Africa. “Beating Australia in both Tests in 2014 and equaling the world record for the fastest century remain special moments,” he noted, adding that achieving the number-one Test team ranking was a career highlight.
Mushtaq Muhammad, one of Pakistan’s cricket pioneers, shared his joy and gratitude. “When I see the name of my elder brother, legendary cricketer Hanif Mohammad, in this list, my happiness doubles,” he said.

With the sole purpose of honouring and celebrating the accomplishments of some of the best cricket players of the country, the PCB Hall of Fame was established in April 2021 after receiving permission from the Board of Governors at its 62nd meeting.
Six members of the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame -- Hanif Mohammad, Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Zaheer Abbas -- were the first ever entrants. Two additional members will be added annually, chosen by an impartial voting panel.
Hall of Fame criteria, selection process
Every year on October 16, the day Pakistan played their first Test match, the inductees are announced, either unanimously or by the majority of votes. Formal inductions also take place, either at an event or at a PCB Gala Dinner, together with the PCB Award recipients.
In addition to having exceptional statistical records, players with a flawless career who have benefited Pakistan and international cricket will be given consideration for inclusion. A minimum of five years must pass since an inductee's retirement from international cricket.
The PCB Hall of Fame automatically inducts those who have been admitted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
Nominations from each independent panel member are sent straight to the PCB's appointed representative. Every nomination remains private. An internal auditor supervises the voting procedure and verifies inductees in order to maintain transparency.
The independent panel does not include any PCB management members in order to maintain transparency and prevent conflicts of interest.
