Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has announced that a convoy heading to Kurram district has been temporarily stopped due to security concerns.
He assured that the convoy would proceed as soon as the route is cleared.
Barrister Saif emphasized that under the Grand Jirga agreement, peace in Kurram will be upheld at all times, and those attempting to disrupt harmony will face strict action.
Referring to a recent attack on the Deputy Commissioner, he termed it a failed conspiracy to destabilize peace in the district.
"The public is urged to cooperate with the government and administration to maintain lasting peace in Kurram," he said.
He further explained that the convoy of trucks traveling from Tal to Kurram was halted as a precautionary measure, adding that the route would be cleared soon to ensure the convoy's safe passage.
The development comes amid ongoing efforts to address security challenges in the region and reinforce stability in Kurram.

The sit-in in Kurram's Parachinar district has entered its 18th day, with the Parachinar-Tal Main Highway remaining closed for all types of traffic.

In Lower Kurram, a separate sit-in in Bagan also persists, with participants demanding a relief package.
The district administration has confirmed that a convoy of 80 vehicles has been halted and will only proceed once the roads are deemed safe.
The situation highlights a growing humanitarian crisis in the region, with locals calling for urgent government intervention to address the unrest, restore road safety, and ensure the supply of essential goods.
