The Balochistan government on Saturday dispatched the labourers injured in the Turbat attack and their families to Multan in a special aeroplane.
The bodies of the slain labourers were being brought to Quetta for legal formalities, and they will be dispatched to Multan Sunday morning.
On Saturday morning, a group of armed men broke into a house in Turbat's Satellite Town area and shot the labourers, according to Turbat District Police Officer (DPO) Imam Bux.
The victims were staying in a local contractor's house while working on a construction project when they were attacked, the officer added.
The commissioner and deputy commissioner (DC) in Multan received the victims and their families, a Balochistan government spokesperson said.
He said that they are in contact with the Punjab government.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar also condemned the heinous terrorist attack on labourers in Turbat and expressed deep grief over the loss of lives.
He also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
The prime minister posted on X, “Deeply saddened to hear about the terrorist attack on innocent labourers in Turbat. My heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families. We condemn this heinous act and stand united against terrorism.”
Acting Balochistan Chief Minister Ali Mardan Khan Domki expressed his deep sadness over the deaths and requested an official report from the relevant authorities.
He condemned the incident in the strongest possible terms, calling the targeting of innocent labourers 'despicable'.
He instructed the investigators to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident from all angles and submit a comprehensive report. He emphasized the need to use all available resources to apprehend the perpetrators.
Separately, Balochistan Governor Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar mourned the loss of life in the attack and urged law enforcement agencies to swiftly apprehend those responsible.
