Pakistani mountaineer Shehroze Kashif, at 22, has set a new national record as the youngest climber from Pakistan to conquer all 14 peaks over 8,000 meters. Kashif achieved this incredible feat today by summiting Shishapangma, which stands at 8,027 meters.
Nicknamed the "Broad Boy", Kashif reached the peak early this morning, further cementing his legacy in the world of mountaineering. He becomes the second Pakistani to accomplish this remarkable achievement, following in the footsteps of Sirbaz Khan, who recently became the first Pakistani to scale all 14 eight-thousanders after summiting Shishapangma.
Sharing the successful summit through his Facebook page, Kashif announced that he climbed the 8027m mountain at 3:30am, "completing his extraordinary journey of summiting all 14 of the world’s 8000m peaks".

Kashif's journey to the eight-thousanders began in 2019 when, at just 17 years old, he successfully summited Broad Peak (8,047 meters), which launched him into international recognition.
In 2021, Kashif reached the summits of Mount Everest, Manaslu, and K2. The following year, he scaled Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, and Gasherbrum II. His impressive streak continued as he conquered Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Cho Oyu last year.
Last year, Kashif had to abandon his attempt to summit Shishapangma due to an accident. Had he succeeded then, he would have become the youngest person in the world to complete all 14 eight-thousanders.
Reflecting on his recent achievement, Kashif acknowledged the immense challenges he faced. “I knew it would be extremely difficult, and the risk of losing my life was real,” he shared. “But I remained focused on my goal. Now that I’m here, I realize this journey wasn’t just about climbing mountains; it was about conquering fears, doubts, and personal limitations. For me, this is nothing short of a miracle.”
An unnamed supporter expressed pride in Kashif’s accomplishment, saying, "I always believed in the incredible potential of this young man, and today, he has exceeded all expectations, making the entire nation proud. There’s no greater joy than seeing the name of Pakistan’s youth celebrated globally."
