Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has issued a weather warning for Karachi, forecasting another spell of rain expected to affect the city from August 5. According to Sarfaraz, the city may experience heavy rainfall between August 5 and 7.
While most of the current rainfall system has shifted towards the coastal areas of Balochistan, some of it continues to impact Karachi.
"Light rain and drizzle will persist throughout the day," stated Sardar Sarfraz. He also mentioned that the city might see more light rain and drizzle over the next two days.
Meanwhile, the sky over Karachi has been dominated by dark clouds since early this morning, following a refreshing bout of rain on Tuesday that brought a pleasant change to the city's weather.

The rain from the previous day has left the air cool and fresh, making the weather significantly more enjoyable for Karachiites. The current temperature is recorded at 29 degrees Celsius, accompanied by a high humidity level of 92%.
The Met Department predicts that Karachi will experience varying intensities of rain throughout the day. Light to heavy showers are expected, particularly from the afternoon to the night hours. The winds are currently blowing at a gentle speed of three knots per hour.
Despite the cloudy skies and potential rain, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, ranging between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius throughout the day. However, there seems to be a discrepancy in the temperature forecast, with a potential drop to as low as 10 to 15 degrees being mentioned.
Meanwhile, in Lahore, the Met Office issued a monsoon rain alert as humidity in the air was recorded at 82%. The PDMA said monsoon rains will continue in Lahore till August 3 and 4.
The Met Department said another spell of monsoon may rain today (Wednesday). Due to the monsoon, dengue cases are increasing in the city. “Eleven patients were reported in Lahore in 24 hours,” the weather office said.
