SARGODHA: The property-sprung feud claimed lives of at least eight people in tehsil Bhalwal, as rival group resorted to indiscriminate gunfire overnight, SAMAA reports Tuesday.
The deceased include three women as well.
According to police sources, two factions of the Warriach community were at loggerheads over a patch of land in Chak-6 Shumali. One of the factions stormed the house of their adversaries and gunned down five people including a woman on the spot.
Meantime, six others including four women were injured in the firing incident. The injured and bodies were shifted to nearby Civil Hospital Bhalwal, where six people including four women also succumbed to injuries, raising the death toll in the gory incident to eight.
The injured include two children.
Police began investigations into the incident. SAMAA
