QUETTA: At least one person was killed and ten other were injured in a powerful explosion near an FC check post in Musa Colony area of Sariab, SAMAA reports Tuesday.

According to police sources, at least 35 kilograms of explosives were used in the remote-controlled blast were rigged to a vehicle.

The injured including children and women were shifted to nearby Civil Hospital.

According to sources, the FC convoy was passing through the area when the blast occurred. A taxi, rickshaw and a cycle were completely destroyed in the blast.

Rescue teams are busy with relief activities. Law-enforcing agencies cordoned off the entire area.
