PESHAWAR: Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, UK Muslims and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province are celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr today, SAMAA reported on Sunday.

The Zonal Moon Sighting Committee of KPK proposed the provincial government for announcement of celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday (today) after rejecting Central Ruat-e-Hilal Committee’s announcement.

The Central Ruat-e-Hilal Committee announced last night that Shawwal moon was not seen anywhere so Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday, August 20.

The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa approved proposal of the Zonal Moon Sighting Committee and announced to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday (today) across the province.

Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in most parts of the KPK including Peshwar, Kohta, Bannu, Kirk, DI Khan, Lucky Marwat, Charsadda, Sawabi and Mardan.
