KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain said on Sunday that Pakistan was passing through a critical phase due to internal and external threats.
In a telephonic address from London, Hussain said that the Hindu community was leaving the country over terrorism.
He said the business community has been left at the mercy of extortionists in Karachi.
“The entire city is hostage to the bhatta mafia,” he said, adding that a criminal silence was demonstrated over the activities of bhatta mafia.
He called upon the parliament and judiciary to accept each other.
The MQM chief said that he would have been killed or imprisoned like nuke scientist Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan if he had decided to stay in Pakistan. SAMAA
