General elections not in sight: Pir Pagara

Staff Report

KARACHI: A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement called on spiritual leader of the Hur Jamaat and chief of his own faction of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F), Pir Pagara here at Kingri House, Karachi, SAMAA reports.

The MQM is pursuing its campaign of consulting the country’s political leadership for organization of a roundtable conference on internal issues and external threats faced by the country.

The MQM leaders, led by Senator Raza Haroon, discussed current political scenario with the PML-F chief and exchanged views over the upcoming general elections.

During his meeting with the MQM lawmakers, Pir Pagara said political situation in the country was getting worse day by day wherein holding of general polls could not be expected.

The MQM delegation also condoled with Pir Pagara on his sister’s death.

Later, speaking to newsmen, Raza Haroon said roundtable conference is need of the hour as internal and external issues pose serious threat to sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan. -- SAMAA
