KARACHI: Adviser to the PM on internal affairs Rehman A. Malik announced to quit his Senate membership, SAMAA reports Tuesday.
Talking to media at Karachi airport, he said he resigned from Senate to express solidarity with the overseas Pakistanis; however, his offer of resignation from adviser on interior has been rejected.
“Media can verify my resignation from Senate Chairman,” Malik said adding, “I told the Prime Minister that I want to tender resignation from advisership; but, he advised me to continue functioning.”
Rehman Malik urged the millions of Pakistanis should not be divested of their right to vote in Pakistan. SAMAA
