UPPER DIR: At least eight security personnel of Pakistan were martyred in a cross-border terrorist attack in Dir, SAMAA reports Monday. The prompt retaliation from the forces left 11 terrorists dead.
Pakistan mounted protest with Afghan officials over the attack.
According to details, terrorists pouring from Afghanistan assaulted in Monday's wee hours at a security check post located in Pakistan’s border area of Sonai Darra with heavy weaponry, killing eight Pakistani security men. Also, several personnel are still unaccounted for.
Reacting on the incident, Adviser on Interior Affairs Rehman A. Malik called up Afghan Interior Minister and protested to him over the breach of Pakistani border and gory terrorist strike.
Malik urged the Afghan government to stanch terrorists from crossing into Pakistani border and that such measures are taken up that no such incidents occur again. SAMAA
