LAHORE: Former advisor to PM and PML-Q leader Ahmad Yar Hiraj has claimed that ‘state terrorism’ was being meted out to him and other PML-N opponents in the pretext of anti-loadshedding protests, SAMAA reports.
“The Pakistan Muslim League is sponsoring violent protests against outages and victimizing its opponents…It’s a state terrorism,” Hiraj said while speaking to newsmen outside the Punjab Assembly on Wednesday.
His residence was attacked by infuriated mob protesting prolonged outages in Khanewal town.
Three people were killed and nine others were injured in firing by Hiraj’s private guards from rooftop of the house.
He said claimed that fuel was being supplied in provincial government’s vehicles to set on fire his house.
“I don’t accept any such Chief Minister who orders attacks on opponents’ houses…May God destroy Punjab government,” the angry Hiraj said. -- SAMAA
