Uzma rape case: DNA test report contradicts Uzma’s claim

Staff Report
PESHAWAR: Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court (PHC), Justice Dost Muhammed Khan Tuesday said the DNA test report of the newly-born baby of the victim lady did not match with any of the accused; hence, it goes against the rape victim herself.

After a delay of three weeks, the DNA test reports of Uzma’s newly born baby girl and six accused were presented to the CJ Dost Muhammed hearing Uzma Ayub rape case at the PHC.

According to the report, the DNA of Uzma’s daughter did not match with sample DNA of any of the accused.

The Chief Justice remarked the report, being negative, stands against the claimant. He directed the investigation team to again record Uzma’s statement, adding justice will be done on the basis of evidence. SAMAA
