Moonis Elahi acquitted in NICL case

Staff Report

LAHORE: Lahore sessions court acquitted Moonis Elahi, the main accused in the multi-billion rupee National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam, SAMAA reported on Friday.

The former MPA earlier claimed that the case against him was a conspiracy to malign his family.

The FIA also alleges that some of the land sold to the NICL was not even owned by Elahi and his associates.

The Lahore sessions court had earlier reserved its verdict on the acquittal plea of Moonis Elahi in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam case till October 21. SAMAA
