LOS ANGELES: Michelle Obama will appear live on the "Gayle King Show" on April 19.
In their first appearance on the show (which airs at 10 a.m. ET on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network), the first lady and Dr. Jill Biden will discuss their military family support campaign, the Joining Forces Initiative.
A week later, Michelle and her husband, President Barack Obama, will tape their first joint interview on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" since 2006. It will air on May 2. Winfrey's show goes dark at the end of that month after 25 years on air.
Obama recently kicked off his 2012 reelection campaign.
King will also welcome "Rio" stars Jamie Foxx and Tracy Morgan, Bret Michaels and Naomi and Wynonna Judd ("The Judds" on OWN) next week. Her show also airs on "Oprah Radio" (XM channel 156, Sirius channel 195). AGENCIES
