3 killed, 5 vehicles torched in Karachi

KARACHI: At least 3 people were killed and 5 others injured in separate firing incidents in different areas of Karachi whereas 6 vehicles have been torched.

The residents of Gulistan-e-Jauhar including school-going children and working professionals were confined to their homes owing to the firing incidents. SAMAA’s vehicle also came under fire in the area.

According to the sources, firing incidents took place in various areas, including Natha Khan Goth, Al Asif Square, Old Sabzi Mandi, FB Area, and Safoora Goth.

The traffic on Super Highway also remained closed for hours due to the violence. Several people were robbed of valuables on Abul Aspahani Road and Super Highway.

The recent wave of violence is said to be in continuation with the clash that had taken place between two groups a couple of days ago. SAMAA
